1.) Range Closures on the following dates
Rifle Range – June 10 & 11
Jackson Township Police Department is using the range from 09:00 – 15:00 both days.
Please schedule your shoots around these times out of respect for the work and training that will be taking place and your own safety.
While we encourage when members help keep OUR Club clean and orderly, and appreciate it when that happens, the Range Committee and Board of Directors would like to make a special call out to the Butler County Prison CERT. This group has used our ranges on a few occasions, most recently this past week, and each time they’ve trained on them, they’ve left the facilities in better shape than they found them. Thank you gentlemen for setting a great example.
2.) Building Project
The building project has officially kicked off with our engaged contractor now on-site starting their work. And while we’re all excited about the project, what’s being done, and what and when the finished product be, please give these men a wide berth and don’t disrupt their efforts. They’ve advised the board that a number of members have “stopped in” to “check things out”, ask questions, and “give advice”. So while enthusiasm is appreciated, disruptions slow progress and entering an active workspace raises safety concerns.
We promise that we’ll open the doors to the new building and celebrate as soon as possible. And maybe we’ll be able to post some photos in future updates to show how things are coming along inside the building.
3.) New Club Website
Speaking of build outs, the new Club website is now open for business after a great deal of planning and work by our communications committee. Thanks to Brad Brown, Dani Green and Steve Hughes, we now have a very modern web site with new formatting that supports improved navigation, content and timely information.
Please visit the site and bookmark it for future and regular visits
4.) Safety & Club Property Vandalism ALERT
It was brought to the attention of our board by one of our directors, who does a lot of work to keep our trap ranges in shape, that someone has not only damaged our shotgun pattering board and but the entire Club’s liability at serious risk by shooting a pistol caliber weapon at the board. This type of irresponsible act not only damages Club property that has been installed for the benefit of our membership and is maintained by volunteers, but it also could result in damage and serious injury to neighboring properties, as well as neighbors and those driving on Textor Hill Road. <<<Yes, a 9mm round can travel that far>>>
Investigation is underway through camera footage and gate access card data to identify the vandal so that appropriate actions can be applied.
And just to be clear, only 7 shot or smaller is permitted to be used on the trap ranges, including the patterning board.
Don’t be the person or host of the person who does stupid things that damage our Club and it’s reputation in the community.

Regarding the Range Committee, led by Brad Brown, a special call-out, not only for all of the great classes that are now offered, but also for the work they do on maintaining and enhancing the ranges. Recently, Brad and Jason Noto built tables for pistol bays 2 and 3. And the committee also inspired and oversaw the installation of electric wiring and light / camera poles in the pistol bays. It just keeps getting better and better. Thanks men!

You can contact Letty at lettychuey@gmail.com
As a reminder, the clubhouse is a great facility for graduation, retirement, birthday parties and more. And hearing from those who have investigated options in the area, the rental fees are the best around for what you get.
BONUS INFO:
11.) With summertime at hand comes increased activity at the Club and on our ranges.
…So this is a great time to refamiliarize yourself with the ECSC Standard Operating Procedures, “SOP”.
The SOP is updated from time to time to keep current with upgrades to our facilities and address safety protocols that’ve become apparent and necessary to keep our members, families and guests safe, as well as to ensure our members are receiving maximum value from their memberships.
And speaking of increased activity at the Club, the following is worth repeating:
The maximum number of guests that a member may host at the Club for any one session is TWO.
The maximum number of times that a particular guest may visit the Club in a calendar year is TWO. After that, they must apply for membership, and can only use Club facilities again after being accepted and processed through for orientation and payment processing.
AND One More…
And one last thing, if you see someone doing something unsafe, and or damaging club property, please gather what information you can safely, including date, time and location of the incident, description and number of people involved, photos, make and model of vehicle, license plate number, etc., and submit it to a board member and or to this email address for the board to follow-up with those doing harm to OUR Club. There’s no excuse for that kind of behavior and we don’t want those participating to be members of or to have access our Club.
Have a good and safe day.
